The soulful and passionate voice of Mariela has captured the hearts of all types of audiences. Mariela is a very diverse and sought after artist in the Southern California and Mexico music scene. She has been performing with many of San Diego’s most popular musical acts for more than a decade. Some of them include the fronting of TRES, and The Mighty Untouchables among others.
Mariela has been singing professionally for ten years. Her professional career began in Tijuana, Baja California singing alongside one of Mexico’s most influential guitarist, Javier Batiz. She continued to perform in many music festivals and venues while still attending High School. Soon after starting college, Mariela successfully auditioned for The Mighty Untouchables becoming a member of the band and continuing to learn, grow and work alongside some of the best musicians in Southern California.
Not even in her mid twenties, Mariela has already entertained organizations and clients such as Intuit, Best Buy, YMCA, Broadcom, Boys and Girls Club, San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce, Marshall Faulk Foundation, Girls Scouts, Bernardo Winery, Catalina Island Chamber of Commerce, San Diego Padres, United States Marines, Auditorio Municipal de Tijuana, City of Coronado, Radio Latina, City of San Diego Ballet, Centro Cultural Tijuana, just to name a few.
In addition to opening concerns for Edith Marquez, Ely Guerra, and Rosana, Mariela has recorded with Frankie J, and collaborated with Vazquez Sounds among other artists. Signature Sound Studios has also featured her voice in many of their world-class recordings.
Mariela's latest musical journey involves guitarists Jorge Camberos and Robert Chini (Chini and Camberos Band). On January 2013 they joined forces to become a very energetic and versatile band named TRES. Mariela, Robert and Jorge are currently working on their new Latin Pop album featuring all original material.
Mariela is an artist that pursuits the well being of the world. Currently, she is involved in a health study with San Diego State University Research Foundation to promote health at a global level.
